A strong foundation is important to learning or building on to new skills. Perfect for Pilates newbies, our introductory classes teach Pilates fundamentals such as breathing, imprinting and basic core control concepts, as well as how to integrate them into entry level Pilates movements. Regular attendance to this Intro class will help prepare less fit individuals for Beginner Matwork and General Matwork.
Given the slower pace and gentle nature of this class, it is also suitable for those with health or joint conditions, or those who are trying to recondition their bodies following an illness or injury.
It is also a perfect elder care workout for active agers. The low-impact weightbearing exercises are gentle on aging joints and will help them keep fit and improve their balance and coordination. Regular exercise will also help reduce their risk of osteoporosis, obesity or sedentary-related health problems.
